This is a follow-on poll as generally requested from the UK Political Party Poll (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=244457).

The following UK political parties all express a desire for limited government. While they may differ on particular issues such as EU membership, direct democracy, and immigration, they seek to reduce the scope and power of the UK government and support generally conservative and libertarian principles. Take some time to read up on each of the political parties and decide which ones you would support. You may select multiple parties.

Conservative Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservative_Party_%28UK%29)
Libertarian Party UK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarian_Party_%28United_Kingdom%29)
Third Way (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Way_%28UK%29)
The New Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Party_%28UK%29)
Popular Alliance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popular_Alliance_%28UK%29)
Veritas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veritas_Party)
UK Independence Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_Independence_Party)

If I did not include a particular party, then ask me for clarification.

Bnp?

They are hardly for limited government. They want an extremely protectionist government that tolerates their bigotry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_National_Party#Policies

"The party restricted membership to people of Caucasian white origin until 2009, when it was challenged in the courts on grounds of racial discrimination"

"The BNP would prefer economics to be driven by the interests of the nation and state"

"In its 2005 manifesto, the BNP declared its opposition to "globalism, international socialism, laissez-faire capitalism and economic liberalism"

"The BNP rejects the notion of Thatcherism and "submitting to the dictates of the international marketplace"

Real Liberal Party?

The Liberal Party officially disbanded after it merged to become the Liberal Democrats. However, there is a small party faction that continues to call itself the "Liberal Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_Party_%28UK,_1989%29)". I suppose I could have included them, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Motto:
"to build a Liberal Society in which every citizen shall possess liberty, property and security and none shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. Its chief care is for the rights and opportunities of the individual, and in all spheres it sets freedom first."

Michael Meadowcroft was a former Liberal MP who did not go along with the merger with the Social Democrats. He was instrumental in resurrecting the Liberal Party of David Lloyd George and refused to combine two conflicting ideologies. That party still exists but in a greatly reduced way. Even so, they are larger and more influential than the Libertarian Party of the UK.

I would only support UKIP or the BNP on a national level. I like Hannan, but I don't like his party. The Conservative Party is not Conservative by any standards, they are more like American Democrats, and their foreign policy is atrocious.

What's with the BNP supporters here? I'm shocked and disappointed.
