TVA hasn't been federally subsidized since 1959. Everyone picks on TVA because we have cheap electricity, but you don't see anybody saying much about the 687$ million dollars a year in water subsidies to California.
Can you imagine -- the State of California pumps water from two states over and Reagan writes speeches attacking the efficiency of TVA! Give me a break.
