...That was absurd.

And he didn't look like a terrorist, he looked like a guido!

What self-respecting Arab would agree to appear in that ad?

I do enjoy how he equated his 'Keep terrorists off planes!' stance to a cartoonish spectacle, because that's exactly what it is.

I wouldn't trust Col. Sanders there. His secret blend of 11 herbs and spices has caused many a heart attack.

lol. Wow. If I lived in that district and my choice was between Alan Grayson and this Guy... well I'd... Move. I'd most likely stop by NASA and ask for the cost of a one way ticket to Mars.

The good news is this Fanelli guy is one of few and most politicians don't run on this. The bad news is politicians are actually out of touch with the majority on this:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2010-01-12-poll-terrorism-obama_N.htm

By 3-1, those polled favor the idea of subjecting airline passengers to more intensive security checks if they fit a profile of terrorists based on age, ethnicity and gender.

3 to 1 is something like 60% to 20% favor racial profiling when it comes to terrorism. This Fanelli guy knows what he's doing - though I doubt he'll win.

Hell No!!!

But it is a government agency. You will never see that money again!

We are so screwed. Can I just take Grayson on the war, civil liberties, and the Fed?

This reminds me of the episode of Family Guy where Lois runs for Mayor and campaigns using 9/11 for everything.

This is the Republican party folks. I mean there's actually a decent percent of the Republican party that agrees with this ad.

If this wasn't serious, it would HAVE to be satire. Christ, I don't really like Alan Grayson, but I sure as shit don't want to see another neo-con douchebag in The House of Representatives.

I agree with Fanelli here. My family, including my blonde haired green eyed mother and sister were pulled over for security screening for an hour at Logan while Arabs were let through. It is absurd, and common sense should be applied, a white family of four should not be pulled over in the place of tow arab males. It may be "racist", but it is common sense and I support this. Not that it is an endorsement of interventionist foreign policy. But while Islamic terrorism is an issue, we need to do it how the Israelis do it and not pussyfoot with this politically correct nonsense.

Also, where in the Constitution does it require a person be mirandized? We should interrogate this guy and get what info we can out of him.

This is not just Republicans. See my earlier post.

By 3-1, those polled favor the idea of subjecting airline passengers to more intensive security checks if they fit a profile of terrorists based on age, ethnicity and gender.

3-1 means 60% vs 20% of Americans favor racial profiling when it comes to terrorism. This is in stark contrast to every other kind of profiling. This is an issue where most politicians are actually at odds with the populace.
