Do I hear someone who can't tell the difference between a question and a complaint?

Actually, it was a complaint with a question mark at the end. :D

Looks pretty darn good to me! Remember, this is a more representative cross section than some of the straw polls that were stormed by Paul folk.

I couldn't make it (work nuttiness). It wasn't as highly promoted as it could have been to surrounding areas.

It cost $100 just to go (I'm sure deterred many). I'm sure a lot of people would rather hand that money to the campaign than the Republican party.

Overall though, it was a very very strong showing. Please remember that we don't have to win everything yet. It is only important that we win the election. Over 200 people attended and did not vote or voted undecided (very good).

Ron Paul was one of the only candidates (maybe the only) with a table and tons of material. Ron Paul was mentioned favorably multiple times. A lot of small victories took place.

It's really not bad to not come in first as long as there is a strong showing. THe main goal is to recruit people remember.

Thompson's ranking in any of the polls is ridiculous... Nobody listens to him?
That man has some serious spammers on his side...:D

I would have gone, but the $100 was too much for my budget. We just need to keep spreading the word here, and we'll be up there in no time!

I did a Ron Paul table on campus today and an old guy came up to us stating that he was voting for Guiliani due to the "fear factor" (his own words) of another terrorist attack......

I thought the buildings stopped the terrorists....

This dinner was mostly the "establishment" of the party.

Keep in mind that anyone who can afford a $100 fundraiser probably isn't feeling the sting of our weakening economy. For them, everything is going well. That basically describes Giuliani's base. Also, a local talk radio host (Kirby Wilbur) was at the Fred Thompson table, heavily promoting him. From some of the discussions I heard, many of these attendees were undecided. They may have given little thought to who they picked.

We knew going in that Ron wouldn't win a straw poll with this crowd. 12% is better than I predicted. I did, however, find it funny that KVI (local AM talk radio) news update mentioned the poll, and conveniently reported only the top three winners. Another coincidence, I guess.

The masses are spoon fed Ghouliani and Shillary via the monstrous MSM machines.....
