Here is a list of instances where the Republican Party has been changed or outright controlled by limited-government Constitutionalists (whether it be libertarians, paleocons, Ron Paulers, or tea partiers).

They are having some success in North and South Carolina. I think Oakland, CA had some success too.

And of course the Nashville and Orlando Republican Parties both came within 1 vote away from full control.

Those are only the ones I know about. There are others out there but either they are not known to me or need to remain hush-hush for now.

If anyone else has others please post them!

Internal GOP reformers CAN'T do better. The meager list confirms this. The conditions post-2008 were optimal for a 'save the GOP' effort to work---party out of power, vacuum of leadership, no strong contender to fill the gap (Palin, Romney, Gingrich all having fatal flaws), Paul and the liberty movement eager and willing to replace the old guard. If the movement could not succeed given this environment, it definitely won't in the future. Only a President Paul can change this dynamic. So in the meantime, I say change the whole establishment, infiltrate and run Ron Paul candidates in both parties. plant our people in the media. Take it ALL back for liberty, instead of trusting one party to get converted.

It takes a while and we are starting to see more and more fruits from the RP'08 campaign. :)
