Fellow Dr. Paul-ites,
I join you in getting the word and the bucks out for Rand.
I endorsed Rand Paul in April after realizing he and I shared fundamental agreement on the most pressing issues facing our state and our nation. Here is that endorsement (http://www.brookswicker.com/uploads/PR_Wicker_RandEndorsement_042010.pdf).
I'm not here to distract attention from the Paul campaign. Far from it. I know David Adams and I know the challenges outsiders face when election (or in this case primary) day approaches. The powers that be get nervous, and then all hell breaks loose.
But I will ask you -- the diehardest of the diehards -- to consider supporting me in the Third District Congressional race. My opponents are mostly self-funded and were urged to run by party insiders. I was compelled to run by seeing my clients fearful of their futures, and by seeing my 16-year-old son's share of the national debt cross $180,000.
If you are a voter in Louisville, or if you know other like-minded folks who are, please remember that there are important races all the way down the ballot. I'll be voting for Rand Paul for Senate.
Thank you for your time. It's not easy to challenge the status quo. But with passionate support, anything is possible.
