We've received word that Senator Vitter plans to introduce the Paul-Grayson language as a separate standalone amendment, most likely later tonight.

If this thing fails and there are no mass Tea Party protests the same size and fury of the health care debate, then the Tea Party is a one trick pony that just used up its last trick.

Time to man the telephones whether we like it or not ... Unfortunately, I was right again. At least corrupt politicians are predictable ...

A couple of Days ago US Senator Bernie Sanders was on MSNBC pushing his S604 Bill against the evil secrecy of the Banking Cabal, Transparency for the Taxpayers, disclosure, etc etc... NBC/MSNBC pushed his points...

now the game has changed, beause, THE CLEARING HOUSE, Banking CABAL, Wealth, ELitists, and Bernakes Inner Circle RULE and RUN this Country.

Unltil people wake up and call out these prostitutes in the US Senate and House... the people will remain Slaves to Debt and Government... exactly what the Federal Reserve and the Money Masters have always controlled.

SELLOUTS... Mel Watt, Bernie Sanders, Judd Gregg, Schumer, Feinstein, etc etc... some things never change.

Where the HELL is DYLAN RATIGAN NOW? Com'on sellout, standup beyond Jeffery Immelt's Paycheck!

For what it's worth, I'll call again tomorrow. I got quite a fascinating run-around from Casey's representative today...

Well he did refer to Sanders as a "principled liberal" in an interview just earlier today. So it is always a bit disappointing when somebody lets you down, just hours after you complimented them to a national audience.

Ideally, insist the US Senate votes on S. 604, the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act of 2009. Otherwise, insist the Paul-Grayson language to audit the Federal Reserve is attached to S. 3217 or some other bill. Any audit of the Federal Reserve must include the actions of the FOMC which the Sanders' amendment forbids.

It's sad and disgusting.
And that's why we have to fight back.
Let's contact these senators by whatever available methods.
We can't lose this battle because the stake is TOO HIGH!!

sailingaway at the Daily Paul wrote this:

Senator Boxer,

You previously took a stand, cosponsoring S604 to meaningfully expand audits of the federal reserve. Now I understand the original sponsor, Senator Sanders, may be accepting a complete white wash passed off as an audit.

I understand that his "compromise" is what the banking interests have been pushing for all along - they'll allow the TARP and TALF to be audited, but no transparency of monetary policy decisions, discount window operations or agreement with foreign central banks. We need you to take aciton and stop this!

The amendment limits the audit only to emergency lending, the GAO would be barred from looking at the Fed's foreign central bank swaps and its purchasing of mortgage debt from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which is considered part of open market operations and not emergency lending.

This is outrageous! Please insist on the audit language passed in the House, drawn from HR 1207, the House version of the S 604 you cosponsored.

Thank you!

I'm shocked. Just shocked.

Ok not really.

I'll call people tomorrow though. They'll do what they're going to do, but at least they should catch hell for it. I think I'll promise to donate to whoever sanders' opponent is, if he doesn't come back around ... that might be an effective message.

Actually it would just confirm the worst of what many already suspect: that the whole thing was a sham orchestrated by the health-insurance lobby and their GOP lapdogs.

And I say that as someone who actually helped put one on.

Good Grief. That's not all I wrote dutchbags. What did YOU do? Nothing I bet.

At least I didn't call you an idiot like the other guy. I sent the requisite e-mails, though I'd wager even if I did nothing it'd be better than a high-handed message sent full of bellowing and nebulous accusations he'd just roll his eyes and ignore. Heart in the right place or not, it's those sort of things flooding comment sections all over the internet that got people to ignore and malign us - just because they found us annoying.
