RPFs 2/3/08 - "Obama taking us to war with Pakistan in 2009"
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=110806&highlight=obama+pakistan

Man I'd love to find this video. Anyone have a link?

A search for "Obama," "Pakistan" shows RPFers talking about Obama taking us to Pakistan as early as 2007. Many of us knew he would because it is all layed out in Brzezinski's Grand Chessboard (http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Chessboard-American-Geostrategic-Imperatives/dp/0465027261).

RPFs 12/10/07

A while back, I read that he would not take bombing Pakistan off the table.

He's NOT ANTI-WAR he's the biggest fake running, he'd be worse then Hillary...
He said he'd invade Pakistan...
what a fucking bastard

"When I am President, we will wage the war that has to be won, with a comprehensive strategy with five elements: getting out of Iraq and on to the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan ..." – Barack Obama, August 1, 2007

RPFs 1/5/08

I thought Obama say recently that he would be prepared to go to Pakistan.

You have to wonder, why would some militant group claim responsibility for a piss poor attack?

I mean back in December, Al Queda claimed responsibility for the 'underwear bomber'.

Why would they even want to connect themselves with such pathetic failed attempts?

If I was the leader of a militant 'terrorist' group, the last thing I'd claim to be my doing is a botched attempted by a drugged up retarded trying to set his crotch on fire to blow up the smallest of bombs, or claim responsibility for a shitty ass car bomb that was basically a few wires and some gas cans.

Talk about embarrassing.

This would be like having your son shit in his pants in the middle of the school play and then proudly standing up and shouting "THATS MY BOY!"

Because they are really western intelligence agents? If Bin Laden videos are fakeable, then a simple press release must be.

Actually Police Commissioner Kelly stated he didn't think much of them claiming responsibility, as they had claimed responsibility to several other attacks to which they were not linked, so he pretty much eyerolled the report.

He may, but Americans won't when Fox News tells them.

Honestly, I can see it both ways. I can understand the false flag terror attack, but I also can understand the Pakistani Taliban actually being responsible.

False flag: What better way to garner support for more bombings in Pakistan to blame Pakistani Taliban for blowing up/attempting to blow up New York City?

Real attack: We've been bombing Pakistan for quite a while, and it is absolutely understandable for them to want to retaliate.

Interesting

"This attack is a revenge for the great & valuable martyred leaders of mujahideen," Qari Hussain said. He listed Baitullah Mehsud, the former leader of the Pakistani Taliban who was killed in a Predator strike in August 2009, and Abu Omar al Baghdadi, the former leader of al Qaeda Islamic State of Iraq who was killed by Iraqi forces in mid-April. And although he was not mentioned, an image of Abu Ayyub al Masri, the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, was also displayed in the images accompanying the audiotape.

I'm sure this will be used as propaganda for more war and maybe putting some boots on the ground in Pakistan to keep us safer and so this will never happen again

John Bolton was on Real Time friday nite talking up how "our" goal is to keep PAKISTAN out of the hands of the Taliban, and this is why we're in Afghanistan. Seriously. These guys just make the shit up as they go along to suit the agenda. Not surprising that the next day the Pakistanis are blamed for some failed weekend Home Depot project rudimentary bomb in Times Square.

Why would anybody? So you can put fireworks and propane in a van and light a match. Whoopty fuckin' doo.

No. The reports are ridiculous on their faces. If the goal was to go <boom>, there are many ways to make it happen. Propane bottles do not go <boom>. They are specifically designed not to, the result of engineering design research done during WWII when, early on, exploding pressure vessels had become a grave problem as bullets made their ways there.

It is convenient considering the military has just announced that hostilities have stabilized in Afghanistan.

Maybe they are Mossad agents pretending to be the militant group?
Mossad has history of this type of con-job to manipulate public opinion. (Remember the bomb detonation in an American theatre in Egypt?)
