Should Ed Thompson have a forum in Liberty Forest?
Ed Thompson should have a forum. He is the most likely liberty candidate in the nation to win. He also has the best track record of actually acting in favor of liberty instead of just talking about it. He has demonstrated this by his candidacy for Wisconsin governor as a Libertarian. He served two non-consecutive terms as mayor of Tomah where he cut spending and bureaucracy. He served as the State Chair of the Libertarian Party and also as the Vice-Chair. He got video poker legalized in Wisconsin, and has testified to the legislature numerous times.

And now he is running for State Senate as a Ron Paul republican:

Ed's favorite US president was Andrew Jackson. Like Isaac Newton and Jesus, Ed was born on Christmas day.

Oh, Brother

It was almost time for his big speech, and Ed Thompson sat at a table, plucking ice cubes from a drained water pitcher and popping them into his mouth. ''We don't have too many people here,'' Thompson said, scanning the sparsely filled convention hall. ''I'd hoped the turnout would be better.''
One of Thompson's supporters approached and grabbed his arm. ''Here's some trivia about Ed,'' he announced. ''Did you know he has the same birthday as Isaac Newton and Jesus?''
''I didn't know about Isaac Newton,'' Thompson said thoughtfully. ''I knew about Jesus.''
