Arizona Has Spoken: Cease and Desist! (http://blog.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2010/04/arizona-has-spoken-cease-and-desist/)

On April 22, 2010 the people of Arizona re-asserted their sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.

Even though they have already passed legislation to nullify (http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/the-10th-amendment-movement/) a number of unconstitutional federal laws, the legislature of Arizona felt that it was necessary and proper to serve notice and demand to the federal government to immediately cease and desist mandates that are beyond the scope of powers delegated to the federal government.

Truth be told, this resolution would have been passed last year had the budget crisis not taken up so much of the legislature’s time.

For those who are unfamiliar with the final amendment added to our country’s Bill Of Rights, it reads:

“The Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution reads as follows: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

And for Arizonans who have suffered under the weight of federal tyranny for too long, the provisions of this resolution come as good news!

The resolution:

1. Claims sovereignty for the State of Arizona under the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government or reserved to the people by the Constitution.

2. Serves notice and demand to the federal government to immediately cease and desist mandates that are beyond the scope of powers delegated to the federal government.

3. Urges the prohibition or repeal of all compulsory federal legislation that directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding.

4. Requires the Arizona Secretary of State to transmit copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate of each state’s legislature and each member of Congress from the State of Arizona.

So it begins…

Frank. Great post.

What are you trying to do, get another 10 bashing AZ threads started?

SMILE

In the mean time, I am getting ready to start 10 bash CA threads. 1st one might be for electing Nancy Pelosi. After all, it should be a two way street here. I might take a poll on the next 9 like the 9 polls on AZ.

Then I will work on the bash Illinois thread. That will get at least 20 top bash posts. Wait, there has to be 50 after that video this am.

Next WA bashing posts for upping every tax on the book out there.

NY bashing posts for wanting to bash AZ post.

Al Sharpton bashing post for wanting to bash AZ.

In between, I will work on bashing cops, border patrol, DC, 4 post nuts and religious nuts after which I will take up bashing Mitt, Huck, John, Sarah and the rest.

I reserve the right to create more bash posts about things I don't have a clue about in States I don't live in nor intend to live in any time in my lifetime.

What will they think 10 years from now, about AZ and fighting back when the Federal Govt will not do their job?

And that also means Kyl and McCain, both two faced, should be ejected.

AZ has the steel balls to try and stop the madness. The sooner people wake up and do likewise things might get better. Is it perfect no, but it is a start that sure as hell got their attention.

Now if a few more States stand up things might change.

I suggest the State of Arizona tender the defense of any suit to DC and make a cross suit against them for failure to perform their Constitutional duties and in fact attempting to over turn their Constitutional duties. That should get some attention.

BO doesn't like it, then do your DAMN job and quit trying to add a bigger voter base with illegals and AZ will not have to do your job.
