Rand Paul 2012!!!!!!!!

Here is my thinking. Can Rand beat Mitt Romney in a GOP primary? My answer is: maybe. He has a 50/50 chance. Now, IF Rand won the GOP primary, then in my opinion, he would beat Obama in a general, no question.

Here's the question: Could Rand beat Mitt Romney in the GOP primary in 2012? If you think he could, or even has a chance, then let's get this thing going!

Imagine Rand Paul in the White House. He could bring millions of our troops home overnight. He could refuse to sign all spending above tax revenue. He could slash every government agency in sight.

Some will say, "Rand does not have enough experience." My response: "Good!" Rand is highly educated and has all the tools he needs to make good decisions in the White House. George W had tons of "political experience", but look how that turned out.

Rand is the only hope for America at this point. So I ask you... will you draft and support Rand Paul into the GOP primary in 2012?

Rand would stand a FAR better chance of winning the presidency in 2012 than Ron Paul. No legitimate political analyst would dispute that.

Ron could run again and make a point. But Rand could WIN. Think about it.

Right now everyone's focused on May 18th. However I can tell you that this idea has indeed been mentioned and is in the back of many people's minds. After all look at how little time Obama spent in the US Senate.

There is a perfect storm brewing. 2012 might play right into Rand's hands. 2016 might be too late. Make no mistake, if this happens his dad will send all of his support in Rand's direction. The torch will have been passed. I already heard an election commentator on Hardball with Chris Matthews say Rand may very well run in 2012.

The thought of Rand being inaugurated as President brings a twinkle to my eye.

I stand by my prediction Rand will be potus one day. 2012 would be nice, more than likley though 2020 or so. 2012-2020 will be Republican potus. If Rand could grab a VP ticket 2012 I would be immensely happy.

Rand could generate at least as much excitement in 2012 as Obama did in 2008. Things are changing so fast and careening out of control that I think looking to 2016 is too far down the road. 2012 may be the best opportunity.:)

Who would be a good VP pick for Rand? I'm trying to not get too far ahead of ourselves here, yet. It's a hypothetical question meant to survey the political landscape.

I think someone that is very anti-war would actually be a good choice in a national general election. With Rand's libertarian message he would pull gobs of independent votes and many democrat votes as well. As opposed to him going the other way and trying to court social conservatives.

A Rand Paul/Michelle Bachman ticket is probably the most realistic chance at winning with liberty on the ticket.

If Schiff wins in 2010, I think he would be a better potus candidate because he can appeal to the independents more.

She has become canon fodder as a self parody of a crazy person, as much as I like many things about her. She's a warmonger and not very libertarian minded socially.

How about Pat Buchanan? Andrew Napolitano?

Just surveying the landscape for appealing libertarian minded Republicans, that could have national appeal. Very hypothetical. But I intended my question to be hypothetical.:)

I disagree. Most people vote for who they like better (want to have a BBQ with). Rand is far more likable I'm guessing. Rand's message should resonate with the independents in much the same way that Ron's does.
