NEW YORK – E-mails released Saturday morning show top executives at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. boasting about the money the firm was making as the national housing market collapsed in 2007.

The e-mails suggest Goldman benefited from its bets that securities backed by subprime mortgages would lose value.

Bingo. I have been thinking this exactly.

The sad part is, this doesn't matter. They'll just put all the upper level jack asses in some other key position somewhere else. Someone might get punched in the nose by a disgruntled employee, but who the fuck cares when you got a billion dollars of sweaty taxpayer money in your pocket. Right? Everybody will be relieved when that company goes away as if it was the entity that created this mess.
