New York’s Libertarians appear headed to a possible knock down drag out three way contest for their gubernatorial nomination here in Albany at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Things get a bit convoluted and confusing with the candidates and their various intrigues, but basically there are three candidates seeing the “L” line: Manhattan Kristin Davis of Spitzer fame; Guilderland town board member and lawyer Warren Redlich and Sam Sloan, who runs his own publishing firm,

Today’s drama appears to focus on Sloan.

“I’m not very popular in the Libertarian party,” Sloan just told me by phone from the judges chambers in State Supreme Court in Manhattan. Sloan has gone to court against state Libertarian Chairman Chris Edes of the Rochester area, demanding that Edes release his list of party members. That way, Sloan said, the candidates would be able to know precisely who can and can’t vote in tomorrow’s convention.

Sloan’s legal tactic follows the back and forth discussions-turned-argument-turned discussions between Redlich and Davis’s manager, Roger Stone, who also appears to be connected, at least informally, with GOP candidate Carl Paladino.

Warren Redlich was nominated as LPNY candidate for Governor. I was nominated as candidate for US Senate (against Gillibrand):
