I love how she says that repealing the nineteenth Amendment would stop women from voting. Nowhere does the constitution discriminate against sex or race. The thirteenth and nineteenth amendments were not needed. If the government merely followed the constitution from the beginning there wouldn't have been slavery, and women could have voted. The rights discussed in the constitution are for every citizen period, regardless of what group you are in. Freedom is for the individual, not the group.

PEOPLE!

Today marks a new day in the campaign. Someone got to Ron. Someone's helping him shape the message. His presentation was much more polished, and he was very clear on not tearing down the government right away. This is that coveted thing we've been looking for: viability.

YES!

As well as the above comments Tucker asked if he would consider a third party run. RP answered that that was very unattractive but did not say NO flat out.

Is the door open in case dirty tricks prevent us from winning the nomination?

very very very polished.... great interview. This has been a great week for Ron Paul. He was relaxed clear and down to earth and explained how he would not leave people out to dry by cutting all the departments, but wants to scale them back until people can get back to being independent. GREAT interview.

And that he's actually genuine! Everyone loves Ron Paul from liberal Bill Press to conservative Tucker to the guy at the end of the show!

He did come off as less "radical" when tearing apart the government. He said he has to work with Congress and make sure not to leave people out in the streets.

As far as a 3rd party run goes I know he says he has no intention of doing it, but I think it depends on how well he does in the primaries and how big this thing grows. If he does well, but comes up short then maybe he will. But for now he can't say that because he wants to win the Republican nomination and that's what we should be focusing on as it's by far his best shot at victory.

I think Tucker's working with him to create a total soft-ball interview, letting Ron script answers ahead of time.

RP doesn't get high. He's a doctor. They're pretty serious about medical ethics. And Ron Paul more than most. Definitely a clean-living guy his whole life.

He was relaxed because Tucker has supported him and his ideas since his run back in '88, the only national media figure who says he voted for him then and supports him now.

Tucker even had Bill Wolf, doing the humor segment, talking about Ron Paul and saying his appeal was because "he's genuine".

I think Tucker's making a few converts at work. Heh-heh.

I think Ron is listening to his supporters! He was careful to mention about eliminating departments in the right way-- transitioning to the inevitable rather than waiting for a crash-- not throwing the dependent people off the system.

Overall, the best interview with him that I've seen.
