With each passing day it limits the amount of time that the establishment has to come up with a scheme to beat us. Commercials like this will help keep Rand in the position he's in, we just gotta release new ones at the right time to keep the clock running.

You know I do like how the ad backfired on Wallace/Kristol. They set up the question to hurt Rand and Palin but it only wound up providing the Paul campaign a nice clip to use both in the radio ad and now in this TV ad.

I suggested they use "it's time to take our government back" line so i'm very pleased with that ad!

I would suggest David if you can pass it on to the ad people that you use the line from the tea party speech "if they make me wait for a gun, they need to wait before they pass legislation"

I think it's short, sharp and too the point and explains a policy to the voters perfectly in a 30 sec ad

i forgot about that line-- it's a good one. it may require some more setup though, or some explanation. like play the clip and then "Rand Paul supports efforts requiring Congress to give legislators time to read bills before they vote" or something like that.

but who am i to make suggestions, it seems like this campaign has everything well under control haha for real, great job.

It's considered bad form to place anything on set that distracts from the face in an interview/documentary setting. Normally the camera is thrown out of focus so only the interviewee is seen clearly, but this looks like it was done in editing. The ole red, white and blue was drawing attention away from Sarah.

I also think they should make an ad out of "if they want me to wait for a gun, they can wait for legislation". It's something everyone can agree on and explains a policy well in 30 secs. it also makes Rand look senatorial

I do wonder about the design choices in campaign ads, like the (graphic) lens glare that makes it seem like Rand, Sarah and the words are illuminating the screen. Flashy stuff is so common that you don't hardly notice, It just sometimes make me curious if their is supposed to be a subconscious effect.
