Well that's what I am thinking. I do not know all the details, but it seems to be a corporatist bill providing future bailouts. Plus, Dodd wrote it.. er, edited it for Ben Bernanke.

The Audit the Fed amendment to the bill has always been nothing but a "poison pill" for the legislation as a whole. One could argue legitimately that Dr. Paul fought to have it added, to kill the chances of this bill passing.

Whereas the "Audit the Fed" legislation HR1207/S604, were a prescription in their own right.
