waste of time? met some members of my RTC at the state convention. they seemed desperate for new blood. thoughts? how have other people made out with their respective RTC's?

For what it's worth, one of the comments from a redstate blog on Rand Paul.

The poster is referring to RP people from a previous post:

Achance Monday, April 19th at 12:28PM EDT

After spending two and a half days at my state convention putting up with them, I’m ready to round them all up and do great violence to them!

That being said, go, the more the merrier.

Republican Town Committee

Yes, join

You can come clean about your positions, or sneak your way on to leadership positions and then change the party platform

Be open about who you support but don't be too radical. That way, you don't burn bridges and make us look good.

What are these meetings held and is there an age requirement?

Go and listen for a while so you can get a feel for what your best strategy might be.

But you can already state 90% of your platform and they will probably agree with you 100%, so nothing wrong with participating while you try to decide.

You need to be a registered Republican in your town, that's the only requirement. I'd highly encourage attending. Good luck!
