very interesting indeed. The fact Chris Matthews gave favorable coverage of Ron Paul:)

Paul or Palin;) Ron Paul 2012;) nice to see Chris Matthews explaining the difference between palin and Ron Paul!!!!

Liberty Candidates 2010, Ron Paul 2012 Liberty Tea:) the gop has this idea we will line up behind neo-con war-mongering big govgop to enable the gop to save US FROM BIG GOV??

i think many primaries within the gop might wake up them up in 2010, or they might just alienate themselves!!

the gop better get with the program or get out of the way!!

Chris' three points I'd expand to this:
1. They hate Federal over reaching into States' Right (10th Amendment)
2. Obama is not hated on a personal level. It's his continuance of Bush's policies.
3. The gun issue is just a moral visual expression of our support of the Constitution.

I'm so glad the message is finally getting out there that the Tea Parties aren't just Republican pride rallies.

I think Ron Paul was portrayed positively.

At least for Chris Matthews standards. He calls anything that breaths racist, and didn't call Ron Paul that (at least up to this episode).

We need to stress that the Tea Parties are mainly a result of anger at the FISCAL POLICIES of the past and present administrations. The warfare state is part of the BIG MONEY GOVERNMENT just as much as the welfare state. Here the Ron Paul faction is consistent.

The division lies in the social issues...abortion, killing Iraqis, etc.

What I got out of this:

- Ron Paul was barely mentioned.
- Tea Partiers are armed and dangerous anti-government sympathizers.
- Tea Parties dismissed as a small, "hardcore," "third party," segment of population.
- Tea Parties are not going to matter. They're just GOP supporters in the end.
- Obama, bailouts, corporate takeovers are not socialism. They are what the government is supposed to do when consumer confidence goes down.
