Hi everybody,

We covered at the Tax Day Tea Party here in Tampa. What was striking about it was the diversity of the crowd. It seemed equally balanced between genders and attracted people of diverse ethnicities.

We walked around and interviewed different folks to hear what they had to say:

Based on a negative comment I got regarding one of our interviews, I thought I'd ask you all:

Is it "wrong" for an African American to be a conservative?

Not only no, but hell no. The problem may be more about the language than anything else though. Tragically, much of the black community identifies "conservative" as equaling "Katrina," while personally holding many of the viewpoints that one would ordinarily define as being conservative.

I found him more heartening because of his youth, rather than his ethnicity.
