I was speaking with a friend of mine that supports Keynes and the current government. I spoke about how we were not support be in entangling alliances. He came back with that the only thing in the Constitution it says is it gives the government power to be in treaties. This conversation went on for about two hours. What do you guys think?

Links/Stats would be appreciated.

It's been a while since I've seen it, but
The U.N. Deception (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2634703139474212867#)
G. Edward Griffin also wrote a book on the UN, though I've only read a little bit of it:

If you want a short answer, the UN is an instrument for global government and global taxation, it props up dictators, and it wastes money.

Here's an interesting stat:
Zero Constitutionally-declared wars since we joined the UN at its inception.

It is another layer of government that wants to tax. You have local, state, federal and now global governemnts who are all redundant gangs of monopolist pillagers.

The best answer is we cant afford it.

I used that point but he believes since the congress passed a bill for intervention it is Constitutional.

Did the UN stoped the agression against Iraq?

And go research a little about their scandalous pro-communist behaviour during the Korean war or how the all first US envoys turned out to be members of the communist underground (infiltrated in the state department)

Google "Alger Hiss".

The World NEEDS a place were nations can work things out but this UN has to go.
