Obama To Be Overtaken By Ron Paul In Polls?

Here is the real shocker of the day-and you wont be hearing much of it in the news. Ron Paul is virtually tied with Obama in a recent Rasmusson Poll! How could this be, I mean the mainstream media loves Obama and gives good press to him 98% of the time. Ron Paul is a flake right?

Regardless of what you think of either person the real story is the lower government, lower tax and libertarian wave sweeping the country. Though you would not know it to hear the media the dots can be easily connected. Obama's polls keep going south, Tea Parties keep growing up and the debt keeps going up. I would maintain that all three trends are here to stay.

As for debt there is no need to dwell on it. The spending and entitlements are so big that just servicing the debt is a problem. The American public see medicare and social security out of money and nobody can seriously believe that government healthcare saves anything.

Libertarianism is not hard to understand right now. I was struck last spring by a conservative newspaper owner from the UK. He said "we have had 12 years of unabated socialism, maybe America has some hope because of the Tea party people -people here have given up. All I can say is that you will get so sick and tired of having the government in every nook and cranny of your life". .A quick look at the current Congress and Obama and people see 16,000 new IRS agents, Cap and Tax and Government Healthcare and no one can miss whats up here-hence a new Libertarian waive that is here to stay.

Tea party organizations are simply to numerous to dismiss. The press is desperately trying to get rid of them, but they keep growing. The more the press villifies them the more frustrated people become and the more that the movement grows. It no longer matters what the mainstream media calls them...the public simply doesn't want what Obama and Pelosi are selling. As Pelosi said recently "we have to pass the bill so you can see whats in it". Obama said of healthcare bill "they will like it after they see it." Well, everyone wanted to see it and no one likes it.

The real story is Ron Paul and others will soon overtake Obama in any legitimate poll. As Obama and Pelosi continue to ignore the will of the people and look for more taxes and control the TEA Party numbers will surge. An interesting academic project here would be to correlate the growth of the TEA Party movement to the growth of government debt and taxes..

Ron Paul already leads Obama among Independents 47-28, which is most important.
