Whoa, sharp incline today, starting 2 or 3 hours ago. What's that all about?

Maybe people reading the news reports this morning? Or is there some promotion somewhere hyping donations?

Probably everyone is worked up this morning after fuming about the debate all night!

No doubt in my mind he has the most donors from there or soon will. Unfortunately for us a 100 donation takes 23 to offset one donation for Rudy. Do we not have 10,000 freedom loving wealthy people left? Thats all it took for Rudy to be the so called frontrunner. 10,000 max donations.

This works to our benefit. Our donors can donate again next paycheck. Rudy's people are tapped out.

I'm crossing my fingers for this to be a $100K day. So far so good. Chart's looking nice.

but we do not have a long term left. The MSM needs to be shocked and awed, 5 million was good but if we had those 10,000 patriots donate the max along with our pittance and Pauls management of money skills we would get 100 million of attention and tons banked. The faster the better. Even 5000 at 2300 a pop + ours would scare the hell out of Rudy and waste some more of Mitts fortune. Is there not an avg of 100 well off people per state that want real change?

I just went to check out the chart. It went from $499k to $502k in one fell swoop. Someone just donated $2,300 methinks. :)

I donated 50 more after watching the debate after donating 50 in the morning - money, trust me, I can ill afford. If I can do that, those people who are loaded can certainly afford to max out.

Does anyone else think that the # of donors chart for today looks rather conspicuously linear? As though due to the way it is grabbing data, it can only find out about so many donors per time period, but there may in fact be more donors than it shows? For example, if it is only ever showing the last five most recent donors, but there have been 10 in the last minute, five of those might never get recorded on these charts. This will definitely seem to be plausible if the $ chart goes up way faster, over a consistent period of time, than the # of donors chart.

Sounds very plausible!

Its going to look pretty linear right after an e-mail sent out. This is the hard data.

Could someone please explain to me the two lines on each of the three graphs which include the word "projection" in it?

What are the two lines, how are they generated?

http://ronpaulgraphs.com/

Full qtr. projection: Red and blue line
Projection for Q4 total: Blue and black line
Projection for October total: Blue and black line

The red line is the trend we need to be on to hit the goal. The blue is the course we're currently on. The black is time passed so far. As you can see, we need to be doing twice as well as we are doing.

The blue line on the other projections is a general trend line, and the black line is some kind of least-squares algorithm predicting that we'll end up at 4.892 million or so. One encouraging factor is that the campaign hasn't really run any fund-raising promotions yet, like the meetup fund-raiser. Also, this is just the online fund-raising, not the direct mail fund-raising. Furthemore, the end of the quarter is always more powerful than the rest of the quarter.

Still, we need to dig a lot deeper to hit the goal.
