This movement will have matured this cycle. Lets focus our efforts on electioneering, not money this time.

How many of you are saving now, so that you can contribute the fully allowed amount on announcement day? If we get Dr. Paul his war chest early, he and we can focus on "hearts and minds" not money.

I will be ready by January 1st. Will you?

How about Dec. 16, 2010?

If we can persuade him to announce within a month or so after these midterm elections, that will give us time to have a Tea Party money bomb right then, and every other candidate will be playing catchup after that.

I will be ready!

In the meantime, Dr. Paul needs to use some of that leftover from 2008 to hire a professional marketing staff.

It's my plan to be ready for spring of next year.

I thought the limit was $3600, rather than $2500?

Do we know when he would announce? With the recent Rasmussen poll, I have some real hope for the future for the first time in more than a year, so I am willing to divert the full amount from my doomsday plans, but I have to make plans.

The current limit is $2400 per federal election, and that number is adjusted for inflation. In 2007 and 2008, the limit was $2300.

Somehow, someway, I will make that happen!

I won't. I am an unemployed college student. I AM ready to work for Ron 24/7 and do anything I can to increase the exposure and awareness about the benefits of a Ron Paul presidency.

My efforts > my money

This is a good idea.

I will contribute $2500 the day after he announces (to give me time to liquidate some gold/silver).

If he announces, I just may crank my exemptions up to 10 or so and donate all the money I would be putting towards income tax.

We should know by now that money is only going to get us so far.

Good to see you are still around, Rich. I hear you moved up to PA?

2 oz of gold should do it.

I also believe that a Dec. 16, 2010 moneybomb is in order.

It will be far enough after the 2010 elections and before the end of the year so people can again donate in 2011.

I'll work toward getting 4 oz together for my wife and I by Dec. 16.

Depends on a few things. $2500 is a great deal of money for me now compared to when I maxed out to both his congressional and presidential campaigns. I'd have to see a professional campaign staff working the media that isn't chewing bubble gum during interviews, and I'd need to hear from RP that he is interested in winning the nomination rather than educating people. I think education is important, but it isn't worth $2500 of my FRNs.

I just hope he hires a real, experienced staff that knows what they're doing this time. Last time I gave Ron Paul a pass because he didn't start raising money till so late, around eleven months after forming his exploratory committee, and it was less than two months from November 5th to the Iowa caucuses.

I'm eager to get excited about a Ron Paul 2012 candidacy, I just hope Paul doesn't damper it with some two-bit campaign staff. He'll have the money early this time I think.

Well...why don't he just hire some of Rand's staff? They seem to be doing a fairly good job with him.
