I just called my dad, a Democrat and hardcore accountant, because I know he watches CSPAN in the morning...
He watched the whole segment of Ron Paul love and told me that "Ron has a lot of good ideas, but the poor guy doesn't have a chance."

called top teir Ghouliani got his money. 10,000 or so wealthy donors gave him the max to prop him up out of the gate. Tell your dad to go thru the FEC filings and see who these people are. Tell him Ron Paul has more donors or will soon enough than all the so called top teir. Ask your DAD if 2 out of every 10,000 would be Republican voters represent him? Thats what happens.

Excellent. Sounds like your dad is more open minded than my dad, and he's an unflinching Republican (of course, he also buys into neocon propaganda...so it's really tough to get through to him).
They always use excuses like "he doesn't have a chance," "his supporters are crazy," or my favorite one (courtesy of my dad), "I can't support anyone runs a cult."
. . . .
I'm just glad he said that to my sister and not me. Things wouldn't have been pretty....
The next couple of days is fall break, though, so I'll get a chance to confront him on his new socialist, pro-Hillary agenda....
I'm looking forward to it.

Good! Keep working on him.
My dad just let me know yesterday he finally watched the DVD I sent him and he was pretty positive when he talked to me.

its hard to rewire people who are a little older. My dad is a diehard liberal. He's softened a bit but he still thinks that when Bill Clinton bombed Iraq and imposed sanctions that it was for just reasons. He can't admit that Bill and Hillary were for the invasion of Iraq. Facts are usually discarded if they contradict a paradigm (the wiring of said brain)
