Massachusetts Patriots have formed a left-right Liberty Coalition Facebook page. (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=358459186546#!/group.php?v=info&gid=358459186546) This follows a call by Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, and Chuck Baldwin (http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog.php?view=457) to put aside partisan differences for the sake of overriding principles we can agree on. The Liberty Coaltion Facebook page states:

Our Four Points of Unity are:
► 1. Freedom from Central & Foreign Bankers
► 2. Freedom from National Debt & Bailouts
► 3. Freedom from Wars & Empire
► 4. Defense Of Our Civil Liberties

These should bloom in every state! They could serve the very practical purpose of facilitating debate over possibilities for cross-party registration in order to put "4 Principles" candidates over the top in their primaries. For example, in CA-36 Democrat Jane Harman presently has no Liberty Republican challengers, but does have a strong Democratic primary challenge from Marcy Winograd, (http://winogradforcongress.com/issues-2/) who is fiercely anti-war and rock solid on civil liberties (Harman, you'll remember. never met a wiretap she didn't like and suggested the NY Times should be investigated (http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2006/2/12/122953.shtml?s=ic) for breaking an illegal wiretapping story, citing "the limits of press immunity.") Ron Paulers in CA-36 might be persuaded to jump parties for a day to knock out Harman for Winograd, who despite some liberal positions is principled and decent.

In exchange, liberty lovers on the left in CA-8 might be persuaded to jump into the Republican primary for John Dennis so he can knock out Pelosi, whose privatization would be welcomed by many progressives who see her as a lapdog of the Pentagon, prime enabler of Executive branch wars, and a Constitution-breaker for taking impeachment of Bush "off the table."

The deadline to register to vote in a party primary (http://www.cavotes.org/vote/primary) in CA is May 24, and independents can vote in either primary on June 8.

The Executive Branch now claims the authority to murder any one of us extra-judicially (http://dailypaul.com/node/124284) and without trial by labeling us as a "terrorist." The traitors John McCain, Scott Brown et al are attempting to revoke our Constitutional rights by creating "enemy belligerents." They have taken 911 and run the ball all the way. They are near the end game, and liberty is under assault as never before. Please start a Four Principles Facebook page for your state, especially California. Left and Right unite. Take off your partisan chains and use their own system against them.

What strikes terror into the hearts of tyrants is when they look out the windows of their palaces at people who are ordinarily squabbling, now standing shoulder to shoulder, and looking up at THEM. Ben Franklin's words were never more urgent. We must hang together now, or we'll hang separately.

this is something i can give to our majority voter blocks in our colorado mtns;)

we have a 72% and 56% and 52% voter base we can appeal to for the Liberty Movement! up to the gop in colorado if they want to win or lose;)

i like this idea as well!! unify into a new political coalition!! the gop can follow or get out of the way! it is not like the gop hasn't been getting warnings the last 20 plus yrs from me!!

Neo-cons come in both Democratic and Republican flavors. Whether you start the wars or keep them going by continuing to fund them (which requires the Democratic leadership), whether they squash civil liberties actively or by just standing by and refusing to obey their oath to defend the Constitution, it still makes them Neo-cons. They pretend they are different because one side supports gay rights and the other doesn't. That's how they try to fool us.

FWIW, I think a meetup group would be more impressive to the establishment than a facebook group. In my experience, the presence of a lot of people is more impressive to TPTB than email/facebook/letter writing campaigns. Just my 2 cents. Beware of thuggish cops if you do that, though ;)

Welcome to RPF's :).

-what a great idea! Thank you!!!

This link (http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org/TPV3/Voices.php/2010/03/17/after-seven-years-of-war-in-iraq-8-years) also seems to be some startup from a uniting of the antiwar left and right; hopefully, together, we can do something to stop these wars.

Awesome!

I think Ron Paul's entire visit on Larry King the other night was dedicated to pushing this type of action. There should almost be a Forum here "Liberals Welcome" were we can try and steal the anti-war vote, explain economics and real liberty as well as discuss strategy for common cause events and mailers etc...ONLY WAY to grow the movement.

Like I said in another thread, we could gain 100% of the Republican vote and still lose, or gain 40 - 50% of it, with 20 - 30% of the left vote, and win!
