“Ron Paul certainly brought a whole new generation of voters and I think it’s important going forward that we recognize the strengths and the attributes of these individuals who are out there actively building the party and building a movement, a consensus if you will, on certain issues. We can’t look that in the eye and say ‘No, we don’t want that,’” said former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, adding that the RNC needs to find “creative ways” to work with candidates supported by Paul and his followers, and to work with Paul directly to that end.

“I think, at this stage at this party, everyone who can help us should be brought into the room to help us,” Steele said.

'twas awesome.

Dr. Paul mentioned that Michael Steele is the only Chairman of the RNC that has ever talked to him.

thanks once again!

Ron did a great job of explain the Tea Party movement, what it stands for, what it does not, and I really liked how he said those 1-2% of people are what the media focuses on, not the 99% of the other people and their message.

I haven't found a transcript but this is what he said:

Ron Paul: "...I don't run for office, I run to see if I can get support for certain ideas, so when I can get the support of the votes or win something, that to me is a sign that they're accepting these ideas which I consider very positive."

I think Ron needs to change his tone.......

For example:

He said something to the effect of maybe the GOP needs to welcome the our young people.

He should say.

WE ARE THE GOP and Steele knows we are the driving force behind the energy in the GOP today! Hop aboard!
:D

Good interview.

I agree but he is too humble for that and its not his style.

I was trying to be funny, sarcastic smiley needed on my post.... :o

But, he could spin in that direction when they bait him with negative questions.

For example, when they ask about racism.

After denying it, he could mention that since 2007 he has meet people from all races who support the constitution, liberty, freedom, etc... It's been truly amazing!

In fact, a seasoned politician would have real world examples ready for name dropping. :o
