Seems that his quotable quote about President Obama may get people thinking about what a CORPORATIST is..who they are, who their sponsors are, etc.

They might come to the conclusion that most of the MSM could be considered CORPORATIST.

Which would be good for our message.

Ron Paul is brilliant.

Couldn't agree more. Posted in another thread:

Its brilliant in the sense that every other Republican is getting lumped together and called to the carpet for using fear mongering and the Socialist label, but Ron Paul stands alone calling him a Corporatist. This verbiage gets people thinking ( we hope), and actually sounds less "conpiracy theorist and fear mongering" than does saying someone is in bed with corporations - as his actions clearly show. (see Healthcare Bill)

How long until they start saying 'Corporatist' is code for something bizarre like 'Jew' or 'Reptilian Overlord'?

I wouldn't be surprised by the things these guys would say to stretch the lunatic/racist monicker.

I operate under the assumption that Obama is actually a secret Mormon who was born in Canada.

Corporatist is definitely a better descriptor for Obama than socialist; and I prefer it because, if used with enough regularity and accuracy, it could effectively open the eyes of many deluded liberals who still believe Obama is looking out for the little guy.

I can feel a t-shirt coming on. A special identifiable colour...like the red shirts in Thailand only... not red.:D

What is the colour of corporatism?

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

I hope as well but I'm doubting it's going to catch on. I'm glad Ron Paul is trying to be accurate as possible but anything that requires explanation, ie can't fit on a bumper sticker, usually doesn't work. It would require massive MSM and talk radio campaign to make it part of the conservative lexicon. If he's the only saying it, he'll be portrayed as a kook, isolationist, loner, etc...

The more he can relate Obama to "euro style governance" (I know that doesn't mean anything) the better he can reach out to the rest of the republicans.

I know Ron doesn't want to call Obama a fascist but calling him corporatist is "fascist-lite"

Not long, I'd wager. After all, a pipe bomb is now considered to be a WMD...

I was watching the speech on CSPAN and he should've left the Corporatist thing out.
He's at SRLC, those are Republicans there. He shouldn't have said "Obama is not a Socialist". I think he ad libbed that part of the speech. He was probably thinking about the Health Care plan, which might possibly be considered more Corporatist than Socialist. He could've said with more accuracy "Obamacare is not Socialism, it's Corporatism, because the heart of it is forcing people to give money to health insurance companies." But Obama has done plenty that's pure Socialism.

I disagree with that,

but that's awesome.

I love Ron calling out Obama on being a corporatist not a socialist.

He's not going to dumb down his message and sound like another corporate whore teabagger.

The reason I (and I'm sure many others) love Ron is that he says it like it is and doesn't hold back.
