I couldn't fine the YouTube, but this morning when I woke up I saw him on FOX and he was asked what he thought about the SRLC poll and he said that if it means anything, it means Ron Paul is a Serious Contender for the 2012 election.

Of course, all of US here know that, but I just thought it was cool that the Huckster was showing us some love.. Does anyone here think Huckabee would ever endorse Ron?

Huck may endorse Ron in a general election, but never in a primary.

Huck devoted a chapter in his book (Do the Right Thing ) to explaining why he thought Libertarianism should stay in the Libertarian Party and stay away from the GOP. I doubt he'll turn full circle until it's between Paul and Obama.

First time he's ever been called something positive by someone in the establishment that I know of.

I think he's trying to stem the romney enthusiasm somewhat. The 2 of them ran some nasty ads against each other in 2007 which probably lead to mclame winning

He pretty much is pro-government and anti-Ron Paul. He wouldn't endorse him.

Yep, even Karl Rove would acknowledge ROn Paul's growing credibility in the Republican Party.

I'd have to see video to know if he was being serious. Could be his sarcastic way of saying that strawpolls don't mean anything.

I have heard him acknowledge Ron Paul a couple of times. Never as a serious contender for the Presidential nomination, but more of as a face for a small, but growing, faction in the party.

Huckabee really dislikes Romney though. I wonder if that played into that comment.

you know what would make Huckabee's show great?

Ron Paul.

Hardly. Ron has actually received a number of kind remarks from establishment politicians since the end of the 2008 campaign. For example, here's one with Hillary Clinton:

I can't say for sure where the OP saw it, but it was probably a replay of Huck's comments that aired on "Geraldo At Large" on the evening of the SRLC poll. The particular segment was hosted by Kimberly Guilfoyle. Huck's statement was in response to Kimberly's question as to how much of an indicator the poll was for the 2012 GOP race.
Here is the relevant transcript:

Kimberley Guilfoyle: Is this a real indication of 2012, the GOP race?

Mike Huckabee: Well if it is, Ron Paul is a very serious contender for the nomination. He won the straw poll at CPAC earlier. The straw polls are a fun thing and they’re kind of entertaining, but they don’t necessarily indicate where the party is going. And then we’re two years away. But I congratulate Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. They both organized. They both had people on the ground to gain support for the straw poll and that’s usually what it takes to win the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.

I saw the show live, and, to give the devil his due, Huck's response did not appear snarky or excessively dismissive. But, nonetheless, he portrayed such polls as not having any real relevance.

you will be amazed how many line up behine Ron Paul in 2010 ,2011 and 2012 especially when their JOBS depend on it!!

it is amazing how folks straighten up .when the hint of a pink slip is around!!

I have a feeling the gop establishment might be seeing the writing on the wall finally! the ball is in the gop's court to win or lose!! If they cannot read the writing on the wall. then that really is the gop establishments problem!!

the gop knows they better play extra nice or they will throw many more elections.

The bottom line for the gop is to shape up or be be shipped out!!!!

Huckabee is a scumbag. I still can't beleive Chuck Norris was behind him 2008. Norris must be clueless too.

he portrayed such polls as not having any real relevance.Which is true over the long run. BUT they do provide short term PR and press coverage. :)
