Hmmm I saw an encouraging comment posted there too. It seems to be from an "I like Mike" person, but the opinion of Paul is way more positive than what we used to run across. The person actually talks much worse about Gingrich than Paul really, so thats encouraging.

Here's the comment:

"I voted for Mike Huckabee --- seems like the best of the bunch in terms of policies, background, practicality, and temperament for the job. Newt seemed good at first, but the man's cheated on his wives at least twice --- seems like something's not right underneath; one mistake, maybe that can be forgiven, but multiple times --- not good; we don't need more Clintonian scandals. Sarah Palin --- a good woman, good head on her shoulders, great ideas, just needs more experience. Ron Paul -- a bit of a kook, but would definitely get the deficit under control, get America's nose out of a lot of thing's we've no business in. Tim Pawlenty --- good credentials, but the man's only other life prior to politics has been as a lawyer, and, frankly, I'm sick of pols whose only other background is lawyering --- one reason we've got a government of lawyers, by lawyers, for lawyers --- one f*d up mess in my opinion. Mitt Romney --- great background, lots of creditable experience ---- but I just don't see how he's going to be able to campaign against Obama very well without the Socialists being able to beat him over the head for massively expanding entitlements in his own state of Mass."

You can tell someone is running a macro for Palin. She's getting like a vote a second or so.

But if you watch Paul, he's going up at a much faster rate.

Mitt Romney did to MA what Obama is doing for the rest of us..Caused them to be $1 billion in the hole from Romneycare.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that the straw poll was above-board. Surely anyone political and Republican enough to attend the SLRC meeting would know this fact and would discount Romney without a second thought.

But that's just my opinion.

They should put the candidates in order of intelligence:

Ron Paul 31% 3375 votes (intelligent, virtuous, wise, lucid, ethical) IQ between 130-140
Tim Pawlenty 2% 247 votes (never heard of him which is why he is second)
Mitt Romney 25% 2693 votes (cunning and treacherous, commonly mistaken as intelligent) 122
Mike Huckabee 2% 280 votes (incongruent tub of lard with delusions of grandeur) IQ 115 ie between 110-120

Newt Gingrich 15% 1603 votes (psychopath) 120 approx.

Sarah Palin 22% 2375 votes (psychopath in training) Extrapolating her IQ from her SAT scores gives her an IQ of 98.
