I understand inflation, banking, supply/demand - mostly "domestic" economics. Thanks to Rothbard and Mises and others.

What I have a hard time really grasping is the intricacies of international economics.

China buying US debt. Currencies. Central Banks. Trade. Precious metals and its impact on nations not individuals. All the ways everything is tied together etc...

Anyone have any recommendations for some books explaining the above?

Similar to Rothbard and Mises?

this is what I came up with:
The dollar meltdown
http://www.amazon.com/Dollar-Meltdown-Surviving-Unconventional-Investments/dp/1591842840/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1270927627&sr=1-1
Gold, the once and future money
http://www.amazon.com/Gold-Future-Money-Nathan-Lewis/dp/0470047666/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1270927660&sr=1-3

I'm sure there are more out there, but that's why i have in my shelves.

I was eyeing, Gold, once and future money - and my local bookstore has it in stock as of last week when I saw it on the shelf. Are the authors Austrians? Pro-gold standard?
