The GOP Tuesday Tracker ranked choice straw poll for October 9, 2007 closes at midnight PST.

For some people, it's an open question whether Fred Thompson is lazy. But it's clear that Ron Paul's suppporters are not.

Ron Paul and Fred Thompson have traded leads over the course of the series, but bigger turnouts tend to favor Paul, and he's well ahead so far this evening.

It only takes a minute to vote, and several dozen people can change the outcome.

The system uses a ranked choice ballot and displays results in three ways:

1. Plurality (what you're used to)

2. Depth (a system similar to college football rankings)

3. Instant Runoff (like the system in Australia and some US cities)

Instant Runoff trumps if the different systems result in different winners. It can happen, which makes things interesting.
