We're already winning elections and it is not even election season. He ousted an incumbent, too.

WCCO reported, he won because the mayor and council were cutting down 50 year old trees to put in sidewalks that no one wanted. He was the only candidate willing to even listen to complaints.

UPDATE:

wcco just released the text of their report.

"He cites Ron Paul, the libertarian-leaning Republican congressman from Texas, as his political role model. "

Not to be a killjoy here, but nowhere in that story did it mention that he was a RP person.

Do you live there or know this man personally?

Rice Lake Elects 19-Year-Old MayorRICE LAKE, Wis. (AP) ―

Rice Lake in northwestern Wisconsin has elected its youngest mayor ever. He's 19-year-old Romaine Robert Quinn, a freshman at UW-Barron County

Quinn tells WEAU-TV that he's excited to take on his new role and help move the community forward, with a particular focus on balancing the budget and working on sidewalk policy.

Quinn spent months campaigning against incumbent Mayor Dan Fitzgerald and on Tuesday he defeated him, 53 percent to 47 percent.

Quinn has been serving on the City Council for almost a year.

Rice Lake is about 50 miles north of Eau Claire

WCCO reported it on the evening news broadcast in the Twin Cities. It was a nice piece. I'm looking to see if they have a clip on their website. wcco.com

He admires Reagan, from what I heard he didn't say anything about RP.

There is no internet documentation. Googling "romaine quinn" "ron paul" produces 0 results. Had he donated, it would've showed up I think.

I couldn't find any confirmation, although wcco doesn't have much of its 10 o'clock news footage up yet.

I did find a 44 year old romaine quinn in rice lake that was charged with some commodities trading violations.

I am wondering if that is a father? It would make sense with the age difference and it being a not huge town.

The town of Rice Lake, Wisconsin has a population of 8320.

This kid is just the latest victory, too.

Ed Thompson is a hardcore libertarian who has served as a city councilor and mayor of Tomah, Wisconsin. He's running for State Senate right now. He also happens to be the brother of Tommy Thompson.

Jeff Hyslop is the Mayor of Eagle River, Wisconsin and a registered member of the Constitution Party.

Jose Figueroa was elected to the Board of Trustees, Village of Waldo, Wisconsin. He too is a member of the CP.

Sean Scallon was JUST re-elected to the Pepin County Board of Supervisors, Pepin County, Wisconsin. He is both a member of the Constitution Party and a columnist/blogger at American Conservative Magazine.

There are also roughly 5 Libertarians elected to small local offices in Wisconsin, and probably 10-15 Republican libertarian types.
