I think I just rec'd a push poll from the Trey Grayson campaign. Disappointed. Not the way to run a campaign. I'm a past donor.

Grayson has put out a release from his push poll that says he leads Rand Paul 39-37.

Which means that Grayson has gone up 12 points since the last poll, and Rand has fallen 3?

If you are barely winning a push poll, you're one weak candidate.

If Rand ran one that descibed their respective policy positions accurately, Rand would beat him by 35 points.

That seems, to me, to be outstanding news for Rand Paul. Only down 2 in a push poll. Remember Johnson's push-polls had him over 20%, when in reality he was in the low-to-mid single digits?

The mommy loves push polls. She'll be all up in this.

He is drumming up false "polling" to promote. This will be picked up and spread around with more push polls to come.

He is oiling the wheels for when he steals the vote come "count the vote" time.
He is getting the road paved. See the signs.

Take this with a large grain of salt. One of Grayson's own donors who was polled thought he got pushed toward Grayson very hard.

Eh. His push poll by the same pollster was exposed in February.

How come the Paul campaign doesn't release it's own counter-internal? Isn't that what is usually done?

Only two-points behind in a bogus push poll, not bad.

Of course what they want to show is Greyson with some momentum in order to get more establishment coffers to open up. We need to call this for what it is, garbage!

No. I've never been on a campaign where you release internal #s on a press release. You may tell a reporter off the record but, never a PR. You use the internals to help you make decisions but, not sway the media. This is a desperate attempt to get back in the race.

Then again, I never worked on a losing campaign.

Twitter that Trey Grayson is push polling to make himself look good and still is within the margin of error.

Seriously, that's the story here, that Grayson is ahead by all of two points in his own push poll. That means, in reality, he's probably still down double-digits. He is embarrassing himself with laughably fake numbers like Bill Johnson used to do.

I believe that was the same pollster who did Johnson's poll. Maybe I am mixing up the push polls.

Push poll or no, we need to double down on our efforts. Win by a mile or a nose, it's a win, but hell, let's make sure we win.

Van Lohuizen is best known as President Bush’s personal pollster. He is based in Houston, Texas and has worked with Bush and Karl Rove since 1991. Van Lohuizen’s polling company, Voter Consumer Research, has worked for numerous Republicans and major corporations such as Wal-Mart, Qwest, Anheuser-Busch, and Microsoft. Van Lohuizen is currently working for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.

Just wanted to see what you meant by that? Is that good or bad news?

We call Nate Hodson "Phantom Numbers" for a reason. I would be scared if they came out with real numbers at this point.

Here's an interesting parallel. Five weeks out from the Texas primary, Voter/Consumer Research (Grayson's polling firm) was behind some questionable results that showed Kay Bailey Hutchison ahead by two points.

We know how that turned out.

"In Kentucky, your word's your bond. But in Washington they'll say anything."

--This sounds about right. Considering Washington is funding Trey Grayson, I suppose that's where he finds his justification to say anything. Well, not just anything, because he definitely doesn't say anything truthful. 2 + 2=4, and Trey Grayson is a liar.

What about the Rassmausen poll that showed Grayson beating the Democrat candidates by more than Rand?

It was within the margin of error 1-2 points. Last time Rand was beating the dems by more by 1-2.

What about it? That doesn't prove head to head #s. Trey does well with his base. Moderate Democrats. You know, like Arlen Spector.
