For some reason, the board is acting all screwy, so here is the rest:

For those looking for a mini-update on the campaign in general, things are going well.

Just the other day we had a sign blitz across all counties in the district. Over 1,000 signs were put up in one day. At this point, BJ's main competitor in the primary didn't have a single sign out in the district. Though he has since put some up, his signs are really dinky - about 2/3 the size of ours - and not nearly as spread out around the district.

Canvassing has also been going well. More and more Republicans are getting motivated for the election. I've heard from many BJ supporters last time around who were simply unaware that he was running until we knocked on their door this year. As you know, most people who support liberty candidates are really enthusiastic, and are looking to help out any way possible. We've even had a few just in the last couple days come over from our main competitor who just threw in with him because they found out BJ was running again. From my experience, the unaffiliateds (who are about 25% of voters in NC) are also more receptive to the message. Here, unaffiliateds can vote in either primary, so the key for them is getting the Republican ballot in their hands when it comes time to pull the lever.

We also have a fundraiser coming up with Walter Jones, NC congressman from the 3rd district, in just a few days. Between this and the moneybomb, we need to make sure we have enough funds to push STRONG across the finish in the primary.

PLEASE check out the recent videos of BJ (particularly the debate - link (http://www.youtube.com/user/LawsonForCongress)), and you will see why it is absolutely necessary that we get through the primary.

Lawson signs are all over the place in Durham and Orange counties. I've seen them everywhere.

Could probably use some in the median strip near I-40 and MLK blvd, near the Harris Teeter. That's a really high traffic area.

I'll try to reach out to the Durham County Coordinator to see about getting some there.

Also, the plans are still in the works, but keep on eye on the I-40 overpasses :D

I hope everyone on these forums that is in support of Ron Paul, decides to take a look into Lawson, he ran in 08' with Ron's endorsement and lost in the general from a strong "D" sweep because of the "O". This year the trends are reversed and in his favor to win it.

Check out some of his videos of recent at his youtube account here: http://www.youtube.com/user/LawsonForCongress

Lawson is very similar to Rand's campaign in his strong network of volunteers and support from around the country. We will make the difference on the 13th, by getting his donations rolling in to build momentum for the win of this seat.

Spread the message and pledge with less than a week left til the 13th. Come on people! This is a huge oppurtunity to get another liberty candidate into congress.

Other than Ron, Lawson is the best candidate in the country, bar none. He deserves lots of support.

He's both principled and highly articulate.

+1

Couldn't agree more. This is a HUGE opportunity, we as a movement must value this race as much as Rand's. Lawson and his crew and the huge base of supporters nationwide have already set the ground work in 08' for victory in 10'. All we need to do is give our financial support as a movement and get the financial snowball moving on the 13th, just as we did with Rand.

yea BJ Lawson has worked hard and alot of ron paul supporters have invested a ton of energy to get Lawson noticed. hes got several years of familiarity now. people down there in rural NC might feel enough familiarity to trust him and recognize he is steady and true to the good principles that the good people of NC stand for.
