cool. they say to keep retaking it because emotions can distort the results.

Is it possible to reach the bottom? :/

I had a great deal of difficulty answering many of the questions and my results were less to the "Right" than I would have suspected.

Yeah well. Make your own then. Or, better yet, let me know of a better one. I already know about the five question quiz.

Economic Left/Right: 7.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.77

I tried hard to figure out how to copy the nifty graph but couldn't. In roughly the same spot as most I've seen here so far. I think I may have done that thing at some point in the past.

I hate political compass with a passion--it asks questions that skew the results.

For example, I can think that homosexuality is immoral, that it's best for mother's to stay at home, etc, but yet I will not force this view on anyone else--it's just my personal beliefs and opinions on the matter; the way the questions are worded it's an "all or nothing" kind of deal.

Also, there are a number of moronic questions that give you more points on the libertarian scale....for example, believing that astrology can accurately predict things moves you more towards the southern end of the chart--seriously, what in the sam heck does believing in astrology have to do with being for more or less social freedoms?

I couldn't answer some of the questions due to the wording and quit. I guess that makes me an anarchist. :p

I agree that this test is pretty bad. I mean, they have Ron Paul as an Authoritarian?? WTF?

http://politicalcompass.org/usprimaries2008

He's not much of an Authoritarian according to this, but he still stands on the Authoritarian side of things. That's insane.

Well Nader and Kucinich are libertarians as well by their standards since they have isolated that axis.

The questions really are bad. For instance one of them is that "some criminals are not worth rehabilitating."

Isn't that true? Serial killers, etc.

But you answer agree and they put you as an authoritarian. Doesn't make much sense.

yeah, considering libertarian punishment is about monetary value. it's not libertarian to be for rehabilitation, that's called naive liberalism.

There's a really great one at quiz2d.com and it asks only policy questions, not questions of personal preference or values.

I made my own with well over 100 questions but haven't completed it yet.
Maybe I will lower the number and get it read fot the 2010 election.

Are there any other tests as well?
