The end is near...

GOP debate themes so far:

1. Hillary is the devil incarnate. We each have plans much better than hers. We're not intimidated.
2. Oh, yeah -- the environment. We're all about alternative energies! We promise.
3. This place rocks!!!
4. Iran is the new Iraq.
5. Ron Paul uses his scant camera time very, very well.

Ron Paul: When you destroy a currency, the middle class gets wiped out. ... We're living beyond our means because of our out-of-control foreign policy. If you want a healthy economy, you have to study monetary theory and figure out why we're suffering.

Asked if he were prepared absolutely to say that under his administration there would be no tax increase, Ron Paul answered simply: Yes. Then paused silently for effect (and a few chuckles). Duncan Hunter, answering the same question: "Absolutely. I'll take the oath.

Ron Paul on Iraq policy: "This war was a mistake. It was a mistake to go in. It's costly. We're going broke. We have a huge deficit. If we want prosperity, we have to change our foriegn policy and we have to live within our means."

Ron Paul angrily denounces the idea of attacking Iran: "The thought that Iranians could plan an attack on the U.S. is preposterous."

Ron Paul supports unions: "You should never [prohibit] any group the right to organize to achieve better working conditions"

Will Ron Paul support the Republican nominee next year if he doesn't get the nomination? "Not right now, unless they're willing to end the war and bring the troops home."
