Umm, the girl that plays Hermione in Harry Potter is only 11 spots behind Paul. Who, exactly, is she influencing?

I voted, but this is a stupid list. Ex:

1 - Lady Gaga
2 - Kim Yu-Na
3 - Jeff Bridges
8 - Sandra Bullock
15 - Scott Brown
16 - Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi

I could go on but why waste my time

I swear this is true.

When I just voted for Ron Paul, the captcha thing underneath said "The Loony."

I guess the Obamas, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi made the top 10 because they were the most influential in a negative way?

I do not believe those numbers are supposed to represent "rank".

Unless I'm wrong, THIS list seems to be the ranked list (if this crazy link works)

http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1972075_1976159_1976160,00.html

As of this time he is ranked 49. The algorithm seems to take into account both how high a person rates AND how many people vote for the person. So, for example Ron is ahead of Betty White, even though she has a higher rating than him (92-82) because he has more voters (26-23). But Arnold S. is ahead of Paul because he has more voters (32) even though he only has a rating of 70.

So it actually seems to be MORE based on number of voters than how high the ratings are, though it's based on both and there are some exceptions. So let's get him lots of voters! :-)

Personally, I'm just fine with Paul NOT appearing in this globalist/socialist propaganda rag.

(I voted for the hell of it, though.)

Desperation at it's height. Time's time has come to an end.

I would not vote in that stupid poll on a cold day in Hell.

They can't tell about all the corruption going on, but waste time on a poll that has nothing to do with all the problems going on right now. SHAME ON YOU TIME. MAGAZINE that I will never ever buy your rag again.

Think about the insult to everyone in just putting this stupid poll in print. I am sure we will see more shortly.

J.J Abrams has an average rating of 102. How is that even possible if the max you can give is 100? This is obviously not a credible competition.

Put Paul at 100. Now working on putting everyone else at 0.

There is a little toggle set at 50. You have to pull it to the right so it says 100 and then hit submit I believe.

BTW, the list doesn't update in real time, but it did update and Ron Paul jumped from #49 to #22 in just the last couple hours. He went from 26 votes I believe to 340 and his rating (out of 100) went from 82% to 89%.

I rated Ron Paul a 100 . . . but this may be right, you may have to down influence others as well ?

btw, Ben Bernanke is number 154
Mitt Romney 77
Olympia Snowe 71
Beck is 68 . . . even Joe Lieberman is ahead of RP at 69.

Unfortunately, Sarah Palin is no. 9 - she needs to start tanking . . .

wtf . . . these are old but were what just came up . . . ?

anyway, RP is now 22 Palin is 14

This is the same magazine that had a graphic titled, "How the Banking System Creates Wealth." The graphic showed the process of fractional reserve banking showing how $100 turns into $1000. That was it.

For a political poll or something, I would probabaly agree. But this is intentionally set up as a popularity contest. Dana White and Chelsea Handler (whoever they are) are currently number one and two ranked. Coco is number 3 of course, with Leno being rated incredibly low. This poll is sort of set up to see who has the most "fans" to get directed to the poll. In this case, it kind of seems to be the point, so I see no reason to break links which would keep the few laziest people from clicking over.

Dr. Paul only has around 400 votes. We're losing to people that don't even exist. Eh, Time is not a friend, may as well make it look legit.

I don't even know most of the people on the list, and I stay very active in current events.

Watch. When we get him to the top of the list, they'll say we "flooded" the votes or w/e they always accuse us of.

Rahm Emanuel is higher and has less votes. That means that people are giving him high votes and are voting down Dr. Paul.

Also my captcha was.."burials President". ominous.

He would have, except the Nevada GOP canceled their convention when that became clear and just gave all their delegates to McPain instead.

Not the vote they're talking about, but he did beat that percentage they list with a third of the vote in Idaho. He got almost a third in lots of the really late states, when it was just him vs. McCain.
