I see all kinds of anarchist stuff....hell they even have green and ***** anarchist flags. Are there no minarchist icons or symbols?

This thread is no.1 in google search already for 'minarchist symbols'

I eventually saw this . . . "Guy Fawkes is used as a symbol for Minarchists everywhere." but I don't see how.

An interesting post thread topic though, imho . . .

Since the dollar sign is used by other libertarian groups and the Guy Fawkes gunpowder plot with 36 barrels of gunpowder under the House of Commons
has an allusion to the phrase "a penny for the guy" . . . I thought :

maybe the symbol below could be used (?) to represent just how stingy us minarchists would be to the government . . .

Hello,

This is my first post to the forum. I found thisthread (and forum!) while seacrhing symbols for minarchism. Little surprised there are actually none. Minarchism of course is global idea and just not restriced for America. Therefore symbols should be impartial from national view.

As a bit frustrated to have none, I had to be little creative and do something.

So, I have proposal for Minarchist Flag.

Anarchists have well known diagonal divided flag scheme with black bottom part, and upper denotes school of anarchism. Black is generally attached to all forms on anarchism, so it may not be used in minarchist colors. Anarcho-capitalists have golden upper part and black lower part. I find diagonal shape and golden upper part very reuseable for minarchists, but black color must be changed.

According Wikipedia article of Political colour all major colors have some alignment but two of them are most prominent: dark blue and purple. Dark blue is associated with classical conservatism which has very close ties with minarcisht ideas (Chydenius, Burke, Smith). Purple is the most prominent colour that is not traditionally connected to any major ideology. For americans purple denotes "swing state" but for europeans combinations of left and right.

I tried both of these colors and came to conclusion that dark blue looks better with gold/yellow than purple. So, I have proposal for Minarchist Flag.

By "proposal" I don't mean any official or to-be-chosen option but just forum entry to this thread which is most prominent finding by Google while searching "minarchist symbols". If liked by minarchist, it might be used, but if notm it may be forgotten. It's up to single minarchist. :)

I don't even like the term, minarchist. Small government conservatives didn't come up with that term. Wasn't it anarchists who did?

No thanks.
