I've heard that they don't even teach spelling in school anymore because
computers have spell-check. hence, teabonics, et al.

I can vouch for that. My oldest is a horrible speller and has pretty lousy penmanship. His teachers want his written homework done on the computer. I said that would be cheating because of spell check and the grammar alert and they said it was fine. Everyone uses spell check in real life :(

Once Hannity, Coulter, and Malkin start speaking positive about something that Ron Paul supporters started, you can be fairly certain it's been co-opted beyond repair.

Tea Party movement makes John Tate and the CFL look like the Sons of Liberty in comparison.

I really wish they did that when I was in school. I have a terrible writer's cramp.
