digging each others posts is counterproductive to getting your stuff to the front page of digg(if you only digg liberty stuff).

however, digging each others posts does get you to the front page (if you and the top diggers mutually digg each others posts. basically you have to get on the inside)

do some research and you will find this true. producing consistent front page digg articles is a huge time investment.

the easiest way to spread liberty on digg is to go to the upcoming articles and comment on articles that you think will make it to the front page.

still building up influence by having a core group of diggers and friends, will help get the attention of top diggers

I like having the friends so I can see what they're digging and the comments they're making (especially in the Upcoming like mediahasyou mentioned).. It was better when the Shouts were around though..

tweets have replaced shouts.

also note there is an underground network of the top diggers on twitter, social media sites, and instant messenger.

There are sites that aggregate the top 100 diggers. Go to these diggers profiles get their im and friend them on other sites.

When you IM, ask the top diggers if they will mutually digg. digg their shit, and ask them to digg your shit.

actual friends on digg hurt your likelyness to get to the front page. so get to know the top diggers off the network.

this was a great article until the site went down: http://aszx.net/how-i-became-a-digg-power-user-with-a-75-popular-ratio.html
