Well, my point in posting it was two-fold:

1) As Bill Maher pointed out, most of the stuff he predicted never came close to fruition, nor is it coming in the foreseeable future.
2) The other made up records were funny.

I disagree. It has clearly set the ground work for what just passed. This new law will usher in socialism like nothing else ever has. In it, they have also taken over all student loans. Guess who needs loans for school? Doctors, nurses, medical techs, etc. They now have complete control over our health.

I disagree as well. I see it as creating the foundation for just such things.

Don't forget, we don't have socialized medicine yet. When 2014 and people are forced to pay or fined or imprisoned because they don't, that will be the beginnings of socialized medicine.


If the govt REALLY wanted to help the people out, they could lower the federal budget to the level it was in 2000 and then repeal the income tax.. and with that added money that people would have, they could buy their own health care or insurance and have money left over to boot.
