Why did Ron Paul vote for Medicare Part D?

What's your source? Mine says he voted no. But check out some of the Congressmen that voted yes. That video just convinced me NOT to make a strategic vote this November (i.e. voting Republican just to oust a Democrat).

Which is a good thing if government is going to have a drug program, it makes a bad policy more palatable and less of a burden on taxpayers while not rewarding the pharmaceutical industry nearly as much.
