None of the above for me, you really can't simplify such complex issues.

As cliffs notes as I can put it.

Against unjust wars, occupations, and interventionism.

Protect our borders. Documented immigration is not the problem but healthcare, education, housing and food stamps shouldn't be used by people who have never chipped into the system.

I'm anti-war and anti-amnesty (but pro-making legal immigration faster).

anti-war, pro-easy immigration (basically amnesty if the laws were changed)

Exactly. On whichever side of the issue you're on, our immigration system is utterly ridiculous much like all of our other systems.

has more to do with our welfare state.
if every person pulled their own weight, immigration would be a boon for our nation.

If we could wave a magic wand and remove all the illegals from our country today, we'd have an economic crisis and a shortage in a lot of cheap goods like food and plants.

Get rid of the minimum wage, and we'll actually be allowed to compete with them.

agreed, though i seriously doubt anyone on this forum wants to drive farm implements for $5/hr. and technically, if they wanted to, they could right now (on the down low), but no one is fighting for those jobs.

I'm not for "amnesty" but I believe that we should protect our borders and help those who can show they've lived here and worked here become citizens.... but they shouldn't be eligible for welfare, only people who are dependent on welfare and who are citizens should be able to collect until we can slowly phase it out or let the states handle it.. but that requires ending our foreign empire and also reform our monetary system..

ULTIMATELY in a truly free society I don't see a problem with open borders.. but right now that's not a good option.

agreed. -in hindsight, James Antle used the words "non-interventionist", and "immigration restrictionist" in once instance, and usage of those words may have been better.

but there is a real line in the sand between the mainstream republicans and libertarians. -after 9 years of war, they just seem to have a larger appetite for it.
