Dubious endorsement? Cuban leader endorses US health care reform, says it's about time

HAVANA (AP) -- It perhaps was not the endorsement President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress were looking for.
No they love Castro, it was just what they wanted to hear.

Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform "a miracle" and a major victory for Obama's presidency, but couldn't help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.

"We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama's) government," Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president's hand against lobbyists and "mercenaries."

Yes, Cuba is so far ahead of us.
We are trying as hard as Obimbo can go, to catch up and become,
a two bit dictatorship.

Many people dont know this but Castro was aided into power by a guy named William Wieland (US Department of Cuban Affairs) who was highly influencial in formulating the US policy towards Batista and Castro. William (and others) managed to convince the US government that Castro was not a commie and that Batista should go. Later it was discovered that Wieland had connections to the Communist Parties of USA and Cuba and the guy that discovered this, Otto Otepka (Office of Security of the US State Department) suffered from strange retaliations until he was force to quit...and nothing was done regarding Wieland. Watch Edward Griffin "The Subversion Factor - A History of Treason in Modern America"

Another fact that people dont know is that the US had an arms embargo on the Cuban regime and this was the main reason for Batista defeat, please remember that most of his army was created by the US, imagine how the soldiers and officers felt with the arms/economic/political/diplomatic embargo: http://cuba1952-1959.blogspot.com/2009/10/1958-us-support-ends-embargo-imposed.html

Also remember that most of the survivers of Bay of Pigs always said that Castro was aware of everything and they were betrayed by the US government.

Here is a couple that was spying for Cuba for 30 years: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/06/us/06spy.html

I also remember reading an old article from the NY Times about Eisenhower embargo and...shipments of american weapons heading for Cuba that were confiscated...

All this stories (and others) are not told by Steven Soderbergh´s "Che" movie for some reason...

PS - Here is the NY Times article: http://www.latinamericanstudies.org/cuban-rebels/4-3-58-embargo.htm mentions both the arms embargo and arms shipment to Cuban "rebels" (notice how they called them rebels and not communists or revolutionaries)
