The Bunker at Camp Crescendo:

The first two days were intense political training. Mike Rothfeld talked about the "real nature of politics":

Those of us who chose to work on the Rand Paul campaign were able to meet him on Thursday morning:

Rand gave a speech to the volunteers which assured us he is the "real deal".
We then all marched over with Rand to a coal rally, which Trey Grayson was attending too. Rand Paul signs dominated the crowd as you can see from the post-rally interview:

We spent three days doing door-to-door:

We found a Jack Conway office:
---

Volunteers broke up into groups of four. This was our group:

Overall it was a great experience. I'll add more later but feel free to ask questions.

You can help out too. Participate in the moneybomb. (http://www.randpaul2010.com)

I figured I'd expand on it later.
But as for door-to-door, of the people who actually were home/answered, the vast majority were undecided, and happy to take information on Rand. The ones who were decided were more Rand than Trey, and the Trey's were often "weak" supporters because they only knew a little. Some people said they stopped supporting Rand when they found out he was pro-abortion or for release of Gitmo detainees, but we were able to correct them.

By the way, old people love young volunteers. Hitting up a retirement community is golden.

Its golden opportunity for laughs too. I got kicked out of a nursing home once for starting a fight between two of the residents--sad part about it my family owned the nursing home. lol

A few... It just took reminding them that Trey is a former democrat who is being deceitful. Voters are mostly undecided, somewhat uninformed. Rand needs money to get his actual message out.

Negative ads WORK. It apparently doesn't even matter if they're truthful... I'm getting reports from all over the state of people horrified by Rand's positions on this matter and that... and encountered the same while going door to door.

Politics is dirty and has absolutely nothing to do with being right.... what Rand needs to survive this Establishment mudslinging is a ton of money, and a ton of volunteers. And that's all there is to it.

Up till this point we were getting Rand into position to be a contender. Now, the real campaign begins. This is our best chance of all time... we MUST seize it.

Even if Grayson says Rand's hero is Hitler I'm sure people will believe him. Some people are fucking dumb.

So we attack Grayson and decimate him the same way he is trying to hit us.

See how easy it is?

And then see how easy they go the other way?

Our voting public.....*sigh*

This is why Rand needs a money, volunteer, and enthusiasm advantage to push him over the top to victory.
