I hope this move is not indicative of slower than expected ticket sales.

I think this is a case where the grassroots is badly lagging C4L in recognizing a rare golden opportunity to blindside the neocon establishment. C4L had it exactly right when they invested $92k in the SRLC straw poll.

If the CPAC victory was Little Boy, an SRLC victory would be Fat Man. (Minus the mass murder of civilians, of course.)

I asked national about this on the first conference call after CPAC, and they kind of hemmed and hawed and said they'd get back to me. I think they weren't planning on making this a priority, then decided to at the last minute. The CPAC success was predicated on a year's planning. I don't think we should expect the same kind of upset with only 3 weeks' worth of effort. Best of luck to those going, though!
