Maybe most contentious of all, it would turn all Social Security cards into tamper-proof IDs to be checked by employers when they are about to hire a new worker. The illegals don't carry ID now, nor do the employers check. It is a complete and total lie that the illegals typically present a fake ID, to an unsuspecting employer. The employer pays under the table, avoiding the payroll taxes. That won't change. The mandatory ID is for law abiding citizens. We can't let them get away with once again framing the debate on lies.
