I would like to hear people's thoughts on how far the federal government would have to push for them to support violent uprising.

hmmmm... never really cause you'd be violating many peoples liberty who are independant from the violations of your in the process. You may use violence on those who directly use violence on you, anyways a revolution of that type can only come from sharing knowledge anyways.

A violent revolution isn't sustainable.

The 2nd amendment is to keep us protected from the government as a last straw. So what's the last straw?
