So I was visiting Frank's site, and when I was looking back at the blogs which had excellent (and very polite) criticism of his posts. Turns out, they've all been scrubbed!

What do we do now?

What a weird set of policies. He wants us to continue occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan, though with clear goals in mind, he wants us to defend Israel at every turn and supports it's right to exist *sigh*, he hinted at supporting the "War of Northern Aggression", he uses the term "managed capitalism", but he also wants us out of NATO and the UN and he wants to "break apart" the Dept. of Homeland security (not sure if that means abolish). I really don't know what to think.

The guy wasn't originally even taking comments at all until I embarassed him into doing it with a comment my wife tried to leave that sat "awaiting moderation" for a couple of days. I posted it to Facebook as a note and tagged the maximum number of people, including R0che, Lawson, and 30 other prominent Republicans in NC. After that, he started allowing comments, and Lawson's supporters ran rings around R0che's and made them look like dipshits.

Guess R0che thinks we've stopped paying attention and has decided to go back to taking the chickenshit's way out. Typical of standard GOP hacks.

Let's keep the pressure on and continue to send out emails for Lawson, for donations... You grassroots locally, keep doing what you're doin, we are all watching! Great job PBrady on keeping us informed. We're gonna win this race.

His new blog post(Frank's) includes a small monument the greatness of Abe Lincoln. Could not make me angrier. I dont know how everyone else here feels about Abe, but there is not a man in american history I despise more.

LOL, he's minor league. Let it be known that he's done thia wide and far, add his supposed "tea party endorsement" and he's toast.

BTW there were supposed to be three primary contenders, one was talked out of running......Roche' refused to back out.

Bad news, Frank won the straw poll at the wake county gop convention last night, which sadly is a pretty big deal. Basically our local CPAC. He only won by 12 votes, but none the less saddening. We gotta ramp it up if we want BJ to win.

This really is just his way of saying that we can bomb whomever we want without seeking approval from France, Germany, Russia, etc.

Yeah, I was thinking of posting that in general politics to perhaps get a small wave of people donating.

The real bad news is that there wasn't a thread on these boards announcing that straw poll before it happened. That would have made the difference, IMHO. It seems as though the only news coming out of that district is in the past tense.

Understandable, but these boards help the cause. It's worth dedicating resources to keeping us informed. We can help to broadcast your district message or announce events to district blogs and message boards. We can surge donations by several thousand dollars when quick money is needed. We can do all sorts of grassroots stuff to help the district, when we're kept informed about what's happening in the district.

If I had known there was to be a straw poll, I would have posted it.

They are not a common practice here in NC at conventions. I've never even heard of one being held for that matter, until now, after the fact....

Thank you for the detailed results! Good to see this kind of data posted, I hope we get more like it from around the country as straw poll results and other event results come in.

That said, in D2 it looks like we're splitting the vote. If this vote is indicative of the race in general, we should perhaps pressure Todd Gailas to drop out and endorse Frank Deatrich.

D2 is my district, and it's......complicated....

it's very complicated, actually.

There will probably be some resolution by the primary, but yes, splitting the vote is one of my biggest concerns. I will tell you that Frank and Todd like each other a lot, and they have been working together more than apart during this campaign...

Dont be mad at me haha. I didnt know about it either. I knew about the convention, but not the straw poll. And just so everyone knows, 4th district only fringes on wake county. Most of its meat is the two neighbor counties. So dont be too let down. Sad but Wake county is definitely not top priority.

I have faith in your opinion, Gunny, I'm sure they'll work something out. Regardless, it looks like a favorable district. Is there a slate of candidates running for state assembly/senate in your district as well?

All - I'm helping BJ Lawson out for the 2nd time (yay) and just wanted to clarify info. about the candidates at the Wake GOP Convention. I made notes above re: who the good Liberty candidates are and who aren't, in bold.

What I hope is that this "win" for Frank will make him more complacent. The delegates at the convention were hardly a good representation of who will be voting in May in the 4th District. Frank, who thinks he's entitled to this because "he's been campaigning since July" can beat his chest all he wants - BJ will beat him in May hands down!!

I'm thinking it's time to start screen-capping and setting up an alternate blog to debunk his posts. This is getting ridiculous.
