I think Lindsey has a point. Both fought for amnesty, but Reagan succeeded. Reagan also permanently increased taxes on every American by jacking up the payroll tax to its current 15.4 percent. Reagan was the biggest tax increaser in my lifetime.
Also, Reagan ushered in the neocons, destroying true conservatism for at least a generation. And his expansion was the greatest in government since FDR, and Woodrow Wilson.
